Initial setup of the rollers:
The lower roller is raised so that the workpiece thickness is slightly greater than the desired final thickness under the top roller.
The feed-side roller is operated to bring the top surface of the workpiece level with the top roller.
The other side roller is then raised between the top and bottom rollers.
Feeding the steel plate:
The steel plate is fed horizontally into the machine so the end contacts the entire front roller.
The front roller is then lowered back to its original position.
Clamping and pre-bending the steel plate:
Based on the thickness and material of the steel plate, the pressure in the lower roller circuit is adjusted within a specific range.
The lower roller is raised to grip and clamp the steel plate.
The top roller is then started to rotate, and once the plate reaches the bending position, the top roller rotation is stopped.
The length from the centerline of the top and bottom rollers to the left end should be about 1.5 times the plate thickness.
Finally, the rear roller is lifted to pre-bend the end of the steel plate.
